Sunday 18th February

Pro Dance Oxford workshop with Attila Andrasi

Attila Andrasi (UK/HU) is a graduate of the Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance and holds an MFA in Choreography from Trinity Laban Conservatoire, where he received a Leverhulme Arts scholarship. His work has been performed at Sismomgraf Dance Festival, Festival 10 Sentidos, and Resolution Festival. Attila has participated in residencies at Roca Umbert de la Arts, Teatre Municipal de Lloret de Mar, Theatre L'ateneu De Carla, and the Desembre en Dansa Festival. He has also conducted workshops at Choreolab Festival, Tate Modern, Trinity Laban, and Kinetic Dance Space. In addition, Attila has received support from the Hungarian National Dance Theatre, the Hungarian Ministry of Human Resources, and Arts Council England. His practice focuses on neuroqueer dance and performance, exploring embodied experiences through performance practice, somaesthetic notions, and clown practice.

Sunday 3rd March

Pro Dance Oxford workshop with Sayaka Ichikawa​

Sayaka was born in Chiba, Japan, where she began dancing at the age of two. She trained in Japan and in 2003 moved to London to study at the Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance. Sayaka graduated in 2006 with a First Class BA (Hons) degree. 

​

Since graduating, she has performed with Vienna Festival Ballet and Ballet Riviera as a principal dancer, Ballet Theatre UK, English National Opera, Opera North, musical The King and I, and in 2009 performed with American Ballet Theatre at the London Coliseum. 

​

She recently left Ballet Black after being a senior artist for 12 years. Repertoire with Ballet Black include choreography by Christopher Marney, Martin Lawerence, Christopher Hampson, Will Tuckett, Arthur Pita, Cathy Marston and many more. 

Sayaka is also a guest teacher at Central school of Ballet associate programme, National Youth Ballet, Yorkshire Ballet Seminars, Ballet Black associate and Ballet theatre UK school.

Sunday 28th April

Pro Dance Oxford workshop with Sayaka Ichikawa​

Sam Hall is a performer, choreographer, and teacher born in New Zealand and now based in London. He graduated from the New Zealand School of Dance in 2016. He then went on to work for numerous companies around the world including Punchdrunk, Norrdans, and Australian Dance Theatre to name a few. In 2022, he became a certified Countertechnique teacher after studying the technique for 8 years. Sam has taught Countertechnique around the world for various levels of dancers. He enjoys connecting with dancers and sharing this technique to find more freedom and joy when dancing.
